Comments

When you leave comments on the site, we collect the data you enter along with your IP address and a user agent string to help us detect spam. This data stays on our site; we do not share it with anyone.

In some cases, we supply an anonymized string derived from your email address (sometimes called a hash) to the Gravatar service to better understand your consistent identity. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to our website, please avoid images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). If you do, any visitor to the website can extract your location data from your images.

These cookies reside in the browser on your computer and make it more convenient to leave other comments. With the cookies in place, you do not have to enter your personal details again. How long we retain your data

When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve any of your follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we store their personal information in a user profile. All users have the ability to see, edit, or delete their own personal profile at any time (except the username cannot be changed). Website administrators can also see and edit user profiles.
